About the Artist:-Operating from Gloucester Takumasa Ono is an internationally renowned Japanese artist as well as being the official artist of the Association of National Trusts in Japan. Having previously exhibited in New Zealand, the USA and, of course Japan, Takumasa Ono has focused on the UK since 1999. A keen exponent of conservation efforts, he uses his art to represent the beauty of nature and works only with environmentally friendly water based inks. His close links with various conservation organisations in Japan led him to start working with the National Trust in the UK. In 1999, Ono toured the UK on a visit sponsored by theAssociation of National Trusts in Japan, visiting and sketch in 58 National Trust properties and includes many other stately homes. |
